Diabetes prevention and the power of coffee!

Type 2 diabetes is one of the most accelerated today, for the number of people involved. Theories, there is no reason why this happens, but scientists on new ways to improve the health of both danger and suffering of this disease. Many of these scientists have discovered that drinking coffee may reduce the risk and effects of the disease. In a recent study conducted by the Channing Laboratory at Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women \ 's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, researchers studying the link between coffee and long-term type 2 diabetes mellitus. The study followed more than 120,000 men and women in eighteen years. The researchers found that consumption of coffee in the long term, the effect of reducing insulin resistance, which is the most important factor in diabetes mellitus type 2. They were to conclude that consumption of coffee in the long term, reduce the risk of diabetes mellitus type 2 in men and women and the health benefits of drinking coffee. The results of this study were confirmed in another student of the Division of Molecular Medicine, the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. Although this study was conducted by a lower level (7,949 persons), one finds similar results. If the patient is already in the study of diabetes mellitus type 2 or glucose tolerance (also known as insulin resistance or pre-diabetes), drinking at least 5 cups of coffee a day reduces the resistance to insulin. This was particularly true for women who suffer from a greater statistical risk of insulin resistance than men. The health of people, coffee is also reinforced by the reaction of insulin. The Department of Epidemiology and Health Promotion, National Public Health Institute, University of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland, also a study of more than 14,000 middle-aged patients, to see if there is a link between coffee and diabetes mellitus type 2 . This study was particularly interesting, because the Finns have more consumption of coffee in the world. This study, once again, that the incidence of type 2 diabetes decreased coffee has increased. This study, the researchers discovered that this link exists, although the results were statistically adjusted to take into account other risk factors such as age, smoking, weight, alcohol consumption, and filtered / unfiltered coffee. As already mentioned, women have a higher incidence of insulin resistance and diabetes mellitus type 2 than men. This may be why the Department of Medicine at Sahlgrenska University Hospital / Ostra in Gothenburg, Sweden, the study focuses exclusively on women. Studied in 1361 women, without the occurrence of cardiovascular disease and diabetes for a period of twenty years, have found that the risk of developing type 2 diabetes for women who consumed five cups of coffee or more daily was almost half of women drank three to four cups a day. The study also noted that it is possible that the coffee had an impact on women of cholesterol, in addition to their general health status. Finally, nutrition and food security at the Faculty of Biomedical and Molecular Sciences University of Surrey in Guildford, United Kingdom, has confirmed once again the benefits of drinking coffee in order to reduce the risk of diabetes mellitus type 2. This study focuses on the effects of coffee on gastrointestinal hormones, regulates the secretion of insulin. The study found that caffeine coffee actually reduces the absorption of glucose, the effects of diabetes mellitus type 2. In total, these studies suggest that drinking coffee with caffeine may be useful, in view of their risk of developing or worsening of diabetes mellitus type 2.
